Our week long, half day camps are just for kids ages 6 to 8 years of age. All camps are limited to 22 campers. Registration fee includes a camp t-shirt, a tour of the zoo, a chance to meet zoo staff and animal keepers, fun crafts, awesome activities and up close animal encounters!
You can choose from two, unique themes below. Please note all campers are strongly encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle and snack, should they need it, during the day. Unfortunately, before care is not offered for half-day camps.
Roar Lion Roar: June 10 - 14; 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Lions roar, bald eagles screech, frogs ribbit ... or do they? Sometimes animals surprise us with the sounds they actually make vs what we think they should sound like! The zoo is filled with so many different sounds. This week campers will join the herd, learn about the different animal sounds, and make some noises of their own!
Celebration Safari: **FULL DAY CAMP for ages 6-8** August 5-9
Due to popular demand a limited number of full day camp spaces are added for the week of August 5-9. Registration for this camp is for the full day (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) and before care is available. These extra spaces are only for kids aged 6-8. Full day camp rates apply.
How do different cultures celebrate animals? We will look at stories, art and history as we explore how cultures from around the world celebrate wild life and wild places. We'll explore what people are doing to help protect and conserve the species they love!
