If you missed out on eclipse-day tickets, please check out our Galaxy Fest event happening on April 6 and 7, the weekend before the total eclipse. Enjoy galactic activities, music by Dj Kenny Kidd, a scavenger hunt, science demonstrations, animal encounters, fun photo oportunities and more!  Visit this link for tickets: General Admission

Fun activities will be available throughout the zoo, leading up to the eclipse. The partial eclipse begins at 1:59 p.m. and last through 4:29 p.m., with totality at the Akron Zoo occurring from 3:13 – 3:17 p.m.  The zoo will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Prices:

  • Akron Zoo Member Adult and Child: $5 - $7
  • Non-member Adult: $14 - $24
  • Non-member Child (2-14 years): $11 - $21
  • Infants (under two): FREE

Member presale will begin Friday, February 23 at 9:00 a.m. with a limited amount of member-only tickets.  General public sales will begin on Monday, February 26 at 9:00 a.m. for the remaining tickets and available to both members and non-members.

Presale tickets are required for access to the zoo and zoo parking lot on April 8. RVs, busses and trailers will not be permitted in zoo parking lot during event.

Guests are strongly encouraged to carpool.  Parking on-site cannot be guaranteed and other parking options will be very limited.

Tickets will not be available at the door.

All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. The Akron Zoo is a rain, snow or shine venue. 

Eclipse glasses will be provided for all guests. A limited number of viewers will be available at a first-come, first serve basis for guests with sensory needs who might not be able to wear eclipse glasses.
