We can't wait to welcome you to the Akron Zoo! Below is some information that will help you plan your visit.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Select the number of guests in your group. Please note: infants (under two years of age) are free but do require a ticket.
  2. Select the date of your visit! Ticket prices may change daily. Buy your tickets in advance to save!
  3. Confirm the time of your visit. You may arrive at the zoo any time between the listed operating hours and stay as long as you like, or until the park closes. Selecting a time will remind you of that day's prices.

Important Information to Know: Guests may purchase tickets online in advance or at the ticket counter upon entry. Buying ahead of your visit date guarantees you the best rate as ticket prices may be higher at the gate.

The Akron Zoo will open an hour early on select dates for Zoothing Hour. Zoothing Hour is included with general admission, free for Akron Zoo members and is an early opening for guests with different abilities who do not like oud noises and/or crowds. These select dates are May 18, June 9, July 20, August 4, and September 21.

The zoo will open at 9:00 a.m. on May 18, June 9, July 20 and August 4 and 10:00 a.m. on September 21.

Akron Zoo Members do not need to, and should not, reserve general admission tickets online in advance. You must bring your digital membership card when visiting to gain entry. Members must still purchase special event tickets in advance, at a discounted rate, to be admitted to special events such as Wildlife Illuminated, Boo at the Zoo, and Wild Lights.
